Poèttery renowned for elegantly crafted mix-media furniture is a pioneer in the unique integration of textured and hand-etched clay plaques with wood and metal giving the pieces a functional aspect as well as the status of an art piece.

 

Experimenting with the healing quality of clay is how our studio emerged. We have all come to love the feeling of being led by our medium. Working with it has made us step away from the need of instant gratification- it is a journey with many steps from preparing our pieces to firing them. If you rush it, the clay will show its resentment by cracking or exploding in the furnace. With this understanding, our team works with patience, giving the process it’s much needed gestation time resulting in timeless creations. 

 

Most of our designs are done in relief or sculpted in a way that they seem to be emerging from the background and become one with the whole form.
